Institutional Statements Updates

Accreditation requires that CSM's Mission Statement must be reviewed on a regular basis to ensure the relevance of its planning and decision-making processes and meet accreditation mandates.

In 2014 College of San Mateo revised its Institutional Priorities which are part of the College’s Mission Statement.  Specifically, a new Institutional Priority has been added, “Support Professional Development,” and minor changes in the wording of the existing Institutional Priorities have been made. These changes were recommended and approved by the Institutional Planning Committee (IPC) on January 24, 2014 which is a participatory governance committee with representation from all constituents. The IPC-approved Mission Statement was approved by the Board of Trustees on March 25, 2015.

On September 18, 2015, IPC approved a change in terminology for the Mission Statement. This revision will be review by the SMCCCD Board of Trustees in Fall 2016.
