Assessments of Program SLOs

Overview

Instructional program Student Learning Outcomes are articulated for degree and certificate programs. They are currently being assessed by surveys of degree and certificate earners and applicants. Survey results are organized here according to departments within the instructional divisions. These survey results are also posted on the individual program review discipline pages.

Types of Surveys

As of Fall 2014, CSM conducted the following survey assessments of SLOs and satisfaction in relation to its instructional programs:
  • Program SLO Assessment Survey for Award Applicants: This ongoing survey invites students applying online for degrees and certificates to participate in an assessment of relevant program SLOs. Degree applicant surveys began to be conducted in Summer 2012.
  • General Education SLO and Program Assessment Survey: This survey invited recent award earners to assess general education SLOs and program satisfaction in relation to their instructional program award. The survey was conducted in August 2014, inviting degrees earners from Summer 2012 through Spring 2014, and certificate earners from Spring 2013 through Spring 2014.
  • Program SLO Assessment Survey for Award Earners: This survey invited recent award earners to assess program SLOs in relation to their instructional program award. The survey was conducted in September 2014, inviting degrees earners from Summer 2012 through Spring 2014, and certificate earners from Spring 2013 through Spring 2014.
