Over the last five years, College of San Mateo has undergone the most significant construction activity since the College Heights campus was completed in 1963. I am very grateful for the support of the voters in San Mateo County who overwhelming passed Measure C in 2001 and Measure A in 2005. By law, these bonds were to be used exclusively for new construction and renovation projects.

CSM’s Scholarship Awards Ceremony is one of my favorite days of our academic year. This year we were able to award scholarships to 198 students for a total of $210,519.68.

Dear CSM Students,

I hope that your semester is off to a great start. I would like to give you a brief update on our campus construction. If you have attended CSM for a while you have witnessed the most dramatic change to the campus since it was constructed in the early 1960s. My heart goes out to the victims of the San Bruno Fire. In an era when our state and our country is polarized on the simplest of issues, it is nice to see people come together, roll up their sleeves, and contribute in multiple ways to help those in need.
