- Use the “Continue” button at the bottom of each page to go to the next page.
- Use your Browser's back arrow (at the top of the screen, in the navigation bar) to return to a previous orientation page.
- Most in-text links open a new browser page. Close the page to return to the orientation.
- You may print a Counseling Session Worksheet from your computer at the end of the orientation. You must have a working printer connected to your computer to successfully complete the orientation.
- Your computer must be enabled to accept “cookies” (most computers are) to keep track of your quiz scores.
- To view or print PDF formatted files you need the Adobe Acrobat Reader. You will need Acrobat Reader to read other documents on College of San Mateo's web site, and you may need Acrobat Reader for your classes. Acrobat Reader is free.
- If needed, you can change the font size in "Preferences" in your Browser.
Currently the online orientation is unavailable (4/2010). All new and returning students must attend an "In-Person Orientation and Course Selection Workshop" and take placement tests in English, ESL mathematics before they are allowed to schedule a Counseling appointment. To sign-up, visit the Student Success Center in Building 1, Room 115 or the Assessment Center in Building 1, Room 130.
