Meet the Faculty

Ed Remitz began teaching at CSM in 1989 after working as a writer, editor, columnist and photographer for newspapers and magazines. He worked Sunday nights some years back as a copy editor for The San Francisco Chronicle and once taught at his alma mater, San Francisco State University, where he had earned a BA in Journalism in 1973. He has been a member for more than 35 years of the Society of Professional Journalists.

One of the most satisfying aspects of serving as a teacher is to hear from graduates, some times years later, who report how their studies here helped them with their four-year studies and subsequent careers. Many CSM journalism students have gone on to become media professionals and, in one case, a journalism teacher.
