New international students should secure housing before arriving in the U.S. Listed below are housing options and resources available to College of San Mateo international students.
Option 1: Homestay
The College of San Mateo is proud to offer a homestay placement service for our international students. Our homestays are safe, affordable and quality housing accommodations with a local host family. Host homes are located within a reasonable distance to the student's school. Hosts come from a variety of ethnic backgrounds that matches the interest and needs of international students. It is a great opportunity for students to learn about American culture, while also working towards their academic goals. Read more about the San Mateo Colleges of Silicon Valley Homestay Program.
