Nursing, Dental & Radiology Labs

Located on the third floor of Health & Wellness Building 5, our Nursing, Dental & Radiology Labs feature state-of-the-art medical equipment, modern training facilities, and beautiful views.

Nursing Lab

The Nursing Lab is comprised of 8 patient care "suites". 2 patient care suites (one-hospital bed rooms) are simulation labs with high fidelity manikins and adjacent control rooms. Each simulation suite has 3 ceiling-mounted cameras with taping capability for playback and debriefing. 6 suites each contain 2 hospital beds and manikins, 2 overbed tables, 2 side drawers, 2 headwalls containing oxygen, suction, air, electrical outlets and other patient care items.

All suites feature sinks, built in storage drawers, hand sanitizer, sharps containers and ceiling to floor privacy curtains. The lab can be divided into two distinct areas by a recessed folding door. Each half of the lab has a “teaching” area with smart classroom technology, screen, DVD player, podium for laptop, visualizer and student chairs and tables. Lighting is hanging fluorescent; 4 suites have natural light and window blinds.

Dental Assisting Labs

The Dental Assisting Materials Lab is comprised of: SMART classroom raised lab style seats that lock when seated to prevent accidents. Lab equipment such as model trimmers, compressed air, Vacuformers, etc. Lighting is industrial fluorescent
The Dental Assisting Clinical Area is comprised of: Microphone system 10 fully functional and equipped ADEC Dental Chairs. ICV flush lines system Self contained water bottle system processing area with seating for 6 6 view boxes teaching station with camera that streams live demos into each treatment room computer in each treatment room Copious amounts of natural light from large picture window overlooking the campus.
All Lab areas have dental-related instrumentation, equipment, materials & supplies.

Radiology Lab

The Radiology Lab is comprised of: 6 Planmeca X-ray machines 1 Planmeca Pnorex Equipped to teach: traditional x-ray, digital & Scannex plates Lab style classroom with 8 lab bench style work surfaces Seating for 16-20

Lighting is industrial fluorescent. There are lead-lined windows between each of the 6 treatment rooms for added line of sight. There is a processing area with one AT 2000 and 5 peripro automatic processors. Each of the 6 treatment rooms is equpped with computers and Dentrix x-ray software.
