Classes, Priority Enrollment
The Spring 09 schedule of classes is online now. For priority enrollment, you must have a "student educational plan" or SEP on file by October 15. If you have questions about your SEP, please contact Laura Demsetz at demsetz@smcd.eduor (650) 574-6400 to schedule an appointment with a counselor or advisor.
In Spring 09, there is a conflict between Math 268 and the labs for ENGR 260 and ENGR 270. If you are transferring in Fall 09 and need to take MATH 268 and one or both of ENGR 260 or ENGR 270, please see Laura Demsetz to schedule an alternate lab hour and complete the necessary paperwork. Engineering courses at College of San Mate are offered on the following schedule:
- Fall: ENGR 100, ENGR 215, ENGR 230
- Spring: ENGR 210, ENGR 260, ENGR 270
Applications are currently being accepted for Fall 09 transfer to CSU campuses; apply online at www.csumentor.edu. Applications for UC campuses are available at www.universityofcalifornia.edu/admissions. The filing period for Fall 09 UC transfer is November 1-30.
Open Houses
- UC Santa Cruz's Preview Day is Saturday, October 11. More information is available at admissions.ucsc.edu/pday08. No registration is necessary.
- UC Davis's Preview Day is Saturday, October 18. It will feature a variety of presentations and workshops designed specifically for prospective transfer students. For more information and to register, go to admissions.ucdavis.edu/previewday.
- UC Berkeley's College of Engineering Community College Day is Friday, October 31, 11 am - 4 pm (the admissions workshop starts at 1:30 pm). Register by October 24 and learn more at www.coe.berkeley.edu/students/prospective-students/prospective-student-events (click on the community college day link).
- San José State University's Spartan Preview Day is Saturday, November 8 from 10 am to noon. The College of Engineering will host departmental information sessions and lab tours. Please visit the Visitor Relations and Admissions Counseling webpage at www.sjsu.edu/visit and click on "Upcoming Events" for registration information.

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration is pleased to announce the NASA Undergraduate Student Research Program (USRP), offering undergraduates across the United States mentored internship experiences at NASA Centers and research support facilities.
