California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office
www.cccco.edu

The California Community Colleges is the largest system of higher education in the nation, with 2.4 million students attending 112 colleges. Our colleges provide students with the knowledge and background necessary to compete in today’s economy. With a wide range of educational offerings, the colleges provide workforce training, basic courses in English and math, certificate and degree programs and preparation for transfer to four-year institutions.

The mission of the California Community Colleges Board of Governors and the Chancellor's Office is to empower the community colleges through leadership, advocacy and support.

Foundation for California Community Colleges
www.foundationccc.org

The Foundation develops programs and services that save millions of dollars for colleges and students, promote excellence in education, and provide valuable learning opportunities for students throughout the state. We also support the system through special initiatives, statewide awards, and direct donations to the colleges and the Network of California Community College Foundations. As we enter into our second decade as an organization, we are poised to bring much-needed support to our colleges and to provide even greater opportunities for our students and our state.

California Mental Health Services Authority
calmhsa.org

The mission of CalMHSA is to provide member counties a flexible, efficient, and effective administrative/fiscal structure focused on collaborative partnerships and pooling efforts in:
  • Development and implementation of common strategies and programs
  • Fiscal integrity, protections, and management of collective risk
  • Accountability at state, regional, and local levels
Mental Health Services Act (Proposition 63) www.dmh.ca.gov/Prop_63/MHSA

The passage of Proposition 63 (now known as the Mental Health Services Act or MHSA) in November 2004, provides the first opportunity in many years for the California Department of Mental Health (DMH) to provide increased funding, personnel and other resources to support county mental health programs and monitor progress toward statewide goals for children, transition age youth, adults, older adults and families. The Act addresses a broad continuum of prevention, early intervention and service needs and the necessary infrastructure, technology and training elements that will effectively support this system.

CalMHSA is an organization of county governments working to improve mental health outcomes for individuals, families and communities. CalMHSA administers programs funded by the voter approved Mental Health Services Act (Prop. 63) on a statewide, regional and local basis. Prop 63 provides the funding and framework needed to expand mental health services to previously underserved populations and all of California's diverse communities.
