Community College Teaching and Learning Program
The College of San Mateo Academic Senate through the SoTLCenter offers a unique professional development opportunity to new tenure-track faculty called the Community College Teaching and Learning Program (CCTLP). CCTLP gives these faculty members the opportunity to go to three teaching conferences, workshops, or trainings during their four years of tenure review. Conferences, trainings, and workshops should address aspects of the community college‚Äôs mission, including student-centered pedagogy and cultural diversity, rather than discipline-specific instructional strategies. Additionally, CCTLP will cover all travel and lodging expenses, both in state and out. We also encourage participants to attend conferences together or with their mentors and to share their experiences at campus events and activities.
