Bulldog Academics
Academics are an extremely vital component of the CSM Baseball program. In the past 12 years 155 out of 164 players have transferred to 4-year schools or signed professionally. The dedication to the success in the classroom has been a major reason why the Bulldogs have transferred so many players to the next level.
Academic Advising
Coach Brian Vogel works as the Bulldogs Academic Coordinator. Coach Vogel is a counselor on the CSM campus and attends monthly meetings with the general student body couselors to keep in formed on the always changing transfer rules and regulations. He works with each baseball player to develop a 4-semester Student Educational Plan. Coach Vogel's knowlege of NCAA rules and regulations is a huge benefit to the CSM Baseball program. He ensures each athlete is enrolled in the correct courses needed to transfer to the 4-year level. CSM Baseball players meet with Coach Vogel a minimum once each semester to plan their courses for the upcoming semester. At any time a CSM player can meet with Coach Vogel to clarify any questions or concerns that arise.
Transfer Agreements
College of San Mateo is a statewide leader in Transfer Rates and Degree Completion. CSM students can sign an agreement with certain schools (see list below) that will GUARANTEE admission into the school.
College of San Mateo has Guarantee Transfer Contracts with the following schools:
UC Davis
UC Santa Barbara
UC Irvine
UC San Diego
UC Riverside
CSM also has transfer agreements with San Jose State, University of San Francisco and Santa Clara University.
