Patrick FitzGerald, M.S., A.T.C., Head Athletic Trainer

Patrick FitzGerald, M.S., A.T.C., Athletic TrainerPatrick FitzGerald has been the athletic trainer at CSM since the Fall of 1979. Pat was born and raised in Santa Cruz and graduated from Soquel High School. He attended Cabrillo College for two years before transferring to Cal State East Bay where he earned his bachelor's and master's degrees. Pat is a certified athletic trainer through the athletic trainer's Board of Certification (BOC), and has served on a number of committees for the BOC. He is also a member of several professional organizations including the National Athletic Trainer's Association (NATA), the California Athletic Trainer's Association (CATA), and the California Community College Athletic Trainer's Association (CCCATA).



Warren King, M.D., Team Physician

Warren King, M.D., Team PhysicianOur primary team physician is Dr. Warren King, an orthopedist with the Palo Alto Medical Clinic. Dr. King or one of his associates may assist our athletic program with physicals, injury evaluation, and treatment. His experience in working with professional athletes, from teams that include the Oakland Raiders, San Jose Sabercats and San Jose Sharks, make him a valuable resource for sports medicine information. 







Sabrina Deans, M.S., A.T.C., Assistant Athletic Trainer
Sabrina Deans has been the assistant athletic trainer at CSM since the Fall of 2012. Sabrina was born and raised in Oakland, California. She attended Laney College and received her Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts, and Science in 2006. Sabrina graduated from University of the Pacific in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts in Sports Sciences with an emphasis in Athletic Training, and a Minor in Music. After graduation, she attended University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) to pursue her master’s. At UNLV, she was a research/teaching graduate assistant for the Department of Kinesiology and Nutrition Sciences. She earned her Master’s of Science in Kinesiology in 2011. Sabrina is a certified athletic trainer through the Athletic Trainer's Board of Certification (BOC), and has served as an athletic trainer intern for the WNBA Seattle Storm 2010 and 2011 season, and Academy of Art University 2011-2012 athletic season. She is also a member of the National Athletic Trainer's Association (NATA), and the California Athletic Trainer's Association (CATA).
