  • Assistive Technology Lab services
  • Alternate Media formats and requests
  • Dragon NaturallySpeaking (voice recognition)
  • Other Assistive Technology hardware and software

Requirements

  • Class attendance 56 points
  • Assignments 40 points
  • Dragon Assignment 4 points

80 points are required to receive credit. This is a short class (8 meetings). You are encouraged to attend all classes in order to get all the information. If you miss 2 classes, you will be dropped.

Class materials will be provided.

Student Learning Outcomes

  • Student will configure assistive technology to meet individual needs.
  • Student will use assistive technology to access course materials.
  • Student will demonstrate using assistive technology to access the Internet.
  • Student will demonstrate using assistive technology to access computer applications.

Open Lab Hours

The Assistive Technology Center is open  Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am until 3:00 pm, Tuesdays until 7:30 pm and Fridays 8:00 - 12:00. There are classes held in part of the lab in the mornings so please check the posted schedule for available times. To use the lab, please register in DSKL 880 (no cost) CRN 90660. Log in and out each time you use the lab. Please see Carolyn, Sue or Patty for lab procedures.
