College of San Mateo is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, 10 Commercial Blvd., Suite 204, Novato, CA 94949, (415) 506-0234, an institutional accrediting body recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation and the U.S. Department of Education.
The role of the Accreditation Oversight Committee is twofold:
- To coordinate College of San Mateo’s ongoing activities related to its accreditation, and
- To provide open communication between the Accreditation Oversight Committee and the college community.
During the 2012-2013 academic year, the Accreditation Oversight Committee will focus primarily on overseeing CSM’s two-year self evaluation, which began in Fall 2011.
